This brand was the favorite of one of the elite corps of the Napoleonic army who, on the occasion of victories in the field, loved to open the champagnes produced by Canard Duchene with sabrage. This practice is based on sliding the saber over the neck of the cold bottle, until the private cap of the cage pops off. Here we find the rosé version, given by the use of pinot noir and pinot meunier.
